Letting Go: Creating Space for the Life You Truly Want
My mind tends to get into trouble when I become overly attached to a specific outcome. When I observe my body and mind in these moments, I notice that I stop being present, tension builds, and my ability to think clearly diminishes.
I start fantasising about the future, projecting ideas and conjuring illusions that aren’t grounded in reality. This isn’t to say we shouldn’t work towards a better future or hold a vision for our lives—after all, creativity thrives on seeing something in our mind’s eye and bringing it into the physical world in a form we can engage with.
However, when we become stuck in fantasy without taking action, it’s easy to lose ourselves and neglect what truly needs our attention.
So, I invite you to reflect: where in your life might you be overly attached? Ideas, material possessions, habits, relationships, ways of thinking and feeling—even old versions of yourself. Observe them with some distance. Through meditation, see what new possibilities you can create space for.
After all, there will always be things in your life you need to let go of to make space for the new life you want to live.
