Guided Meditation for Inner Resilience
I picked the nine wands from my tarot deck to inspire me to create this guided energy-healing meditation on cultivating inner resilience. As you can see in the video on my deck, a rabbit is fighting a snake.
You are the rabbit, while the snake is all of the challenging situations and people you have to deal with simply by existing in the earthly realm. Remember, everything you are going through is, in the end, learning, even though it might be challenging to remember as you are going through it. I get it; I do, too.
The rabbit fighting the snake is a great depiction of life and why it is so important to take time to foster inner resilience. The nature of life is such that sometimes there will be peaks and sunshine, and at other times, we will be dredging through what seems like a never-ending swamp.
Regardless of the size of the swamp, there is no other alternative than to stay resilient and keep on going. Even if “keeping on going” means taking an extended break to recuperate your energy levels. We all need to rest. I believe the most critical source of resilience comes from our spiritual connection via our meditation practice.
The problem with someone who only meditates when the storm has already begun or afterwards is that the practitioner loses out on the benefits of being prepared for bad weather. Thunderstorms will come regardless of how many good habits you implement in your life. It’s simply the nature of our existence in the earthly realm. Expecting anything else would be ridiculous.
The meditation I’ll be guiding you through is specifically designed for inner resilience, although all meditation practices will achieve this. You can repeat this practice as often as you like, and you do not need to have any experience with meditation to benefit.
For this practice, you will first do some breathing, then a body scan, followed by a visualisation. Then, you will sit in that meditative space for a bit until I guide you. I’d love to hear how you got on in the comments.
