All of the answers are within you.
Over the last year, I have spent considerable time on spiritual/psychic threads on Quora and on spiritual/psychic subreddits on Reddit to do a temperature check on the current zeitgeist. And gosh, it seems everyone has an opinion about how the earthly and spiritual realm comes together (myself included😃).
What worries me, though, is that the content that gets the most attention is the ones that are filled with fear, rage and the most complicated explanations.
No wonder people get scared, confused, and do not know where to start regarding their spiritual journey and growth. I’m so glad I had the sensible, no-nonsense support from my spiritual teachers. Otherwise, I would also have become lost on those forums.
I’m not about to undermine anyone’s subjective experience, as there is no way to prove if a demon exists or if you can cast a hex on someone. At the same time, I think the spiritual faculty does everyone a disservice when that is the focus.
To put my cards on the table, I don’t think demons or evil entities exist, nor do I think you can cast a hex or a curse on anyone. I believe the human mind has a wild imagination, and when we come across energies we do not understand, we make it evil.
Through the centuries, people have done this, which has become cultures, traditions and teachings, and as a result, hard-held beliefs have been created. And now, people replicate those beliefs and teachings without much critical thinking.
Many people now believe they see demons, evil entities and other scary energies when that is not what is actually there.
I’m only 32. However, spiritual and psychic development has been with me since childhood, starting with my clairvoyant grandmother. I have worked closely with a spiritual teacher for over ten years; she has been in the space for over 40 years. She has not experienced any actual demons or curses. So, I am inclined to believe her and my subjective experience thus far. And not some random person on the internet.
Although I may be that person to you …
So, instead of focusing on the most fantastical, far-out explanations of spirituality, spend time quieting your physical mind in meditation to truly listen to your spiritual mind, body and spirit. In the hall of silence, you will get all the answers you need, and they will rarely be scary or fearful. If something scary shows up, it’s likely your mind misunderstands, and there is a deeper level to reach of calm and stillness.
When you stop projecting earthly explanations onto the spiritual realm, you will likely experience a golden, endless nothingness. At least, that is what I reach.
Going on a spiritual journey should not be another form of escapism; it’s meant to deepen the meaning and acceptance of your earthly life. As a result, make everything more vibrant, even what you find mundane and boring.
Give energy to enriching your earthly life with meaning and purpose. As I said above, going on a spiritual journey should not be another form of escapism.
