Actively let it go
Last week, I went to my first intuitive movement dance class and at one point during the session, the teacher said, “Letting go is something you actively do, not passively”.
When I heard this, it really struck me because I do think that most people believe letting go is something we passively do, but actually, it is something we must decide to do actively.
I found this very profound as I was moving my body in directions and ways I had not done for a very long time. I used to go to dance classes when I was younger and in my early twenties; I loved dancing when I was out clubbing. Those clubbing days are over - ha!
I still love dancing, and I have finally found a class where I can do that with some instructions while remaining free-flowing. I do sense that there is some use for me to move my body in a more flowy way than I have done over the last few years, as I think it will uncover some new layers within me and my healing journey.
There are still elements from my past that need healing and letting go of. This upcoming week, I’m going to try out a private singing class. Again, when I was younger, I used to sing in a choir, and I remember enjoying it a ton. As the Leo I am, I always ended up singing solo acts. Ha!
I sense that there is something within me that needs connecting with from my childhood, and I think I’ll be able to do that through song and dance. I’ll keep you posted about how it goes. No one is perfect, and we all have healing to do, regardless of if we want to admit to that or not.
In many ways, this sits very well with the message I posted on Instagram from the guides this week:
Try to sense the world around you beyond your usual perception and see what you find. There is a gift for you there.
Many spiritual seekers think that connecting with your intuition is to become a professional psychic or clairvoyant, but for most people, that is not the case. For most, it is a guidance system to get to know yourself better and connect with others on a deeper level. If your intuition is in the right place, you will know what you need to do for healing and see that in others too.
By improving your intuitive senses through meditation, you will know if someone needs a listening ear, advice or simply time alone. Eventually, you will also become more intuitively aligned with your own life purpose.
Actively let go, intuitively sense the world around you and see what you find.
